And my detergent of choice is Dawn dishwashing liquid.
Any type of Dawn will do but I am most especially fond of Dawn Foam Direct.
The number one reason that I love Dawn Direct Foam is that no detergent gets my dishes clean like a Dawn product.
Pumping the bottle turns the liquid formula into powerful foam that absorbs, breaks down and removes grease from your dishes, pots/pans, and your countertop.
I even use it to clean my cooktop stove.
And one pump is enough to clean an entire sink load of dishes. Each squeeze of my rag reactivates the foam.
However, of equal importance to me, is the fact that I do not have to run a sink full of water.
Just wet the rag, add the liquid, and squeeze.
